Magnetic Debris Collector
for early warning of gear & bearing failure
(Hi Nella, NJ) --- New magnetic chip collector from Eaton Engineered Sensors' Tedeco Products Division is designed for early detection of gear or bearing failure in vehicle transmissions and gearboxes.
For use in new designs or retrofitted in existing systems, the threaded Model 3A7667 detector can be permanently mounted in the drain plug location where it magnetically attracts and captures wear-generated gear and bearing debris from
lubricated surfaces. Unique self-closing valve allows removal from the system without loss of oil, making for easy periodic inspection of the magnet. Captured debris particles are visually tracked or easily removed for off-line inspection, analysis and recording.
Can be made available in stainless steel or aluminum, with various thread sizes and diameters. Also available in a quick-disconnect version that permits easier magnet withdrawal and reinsertion. Special drain adapter and hose may be fitted to the self-closing valve to allow for "no-spill" draining of the lubricant.
